A heartfelt thank you to everyone who watched the film this Sunday on WTTW. We really appreciate your time and support as we honor this wonderful group of World War II veterans. We won’t forget it.
If you haven’t already, please contact the WTTW programming staff and let them know how much you enjoyed the film. With enough grassroots support, we hopefully will get an encore broadcast in the near future. They can be reached via e-mail at ask@wttw.com or at 773-583-5000.
DVDs also are available for sale through the 5,000 Miles From Home Web site for $18 (including shipping and handling). They make great Christmas stocking-stuffers.
Thanks again, The FilmmakersHere’s a roundup of some recent press in anticipation for Sunday night’s broadcast:
Bruno Perino was featured in The Orland Park Prairie.
Sam Sparacio was profiled in the Lombard Spectator.
Seven of the suburban veterans and the premiere were highlighted in the Northbrook Star.
